Custom slatted cabinetry & white oak countertop w/ radius (unfinished).
Casa Mao was a smaller scope for us—we only took on the kitchen—but it gave us the opportunity to really obsess over the millwork. The cabinetry was designed around traditional joinery, tight reveals, and carefully resolved transitions, with the goal of making each piece feel more like furniture than a typical built-in kitchen. We spent a lot of time thinking through how doors met, how edges terminated, and how the cabinetry connected from one element to the next. It’s a relatively simple kitchen, but the precision and craftsmanship in those small details are what make it special.
