Deus Silver Lake

Designed in collaboration with the Deus Ex Machina team, the Silver Lake flagship reimagines the traditional retail environment as a place where commerce, music, and community come together. Drawing inspiration from the simplicity of Japanese timber construction, the sculptural restraint of Donald Judd, and the warmth of natural Douglas fir, the space is defined by an architectural language that feels both quiet and highly functional. Integrated shelving, acoustic detailing, and an open, adaptable floor plan allow the space to evolve throughout the day—from record shop and gallery to live music venue and neighborhood gathering place. Rather than simply designing a store, CASA wanted to create a space that feels true to Deus, reflects the creative energy of Silver Lake, and gives people a reason to hang around.
